Jetting
Hydro-jetting is a process that uses high speed / high pressure water to clear blockages in pipe systems and is typically the first approach to clearing blocked lines.
Over time a multitude of things build up inside of pipes varying from grease to sludge, roots, misc. debris, soap scum, laundry detergent and anything else that is put into your sewer pipes. All of these items accumulate on the inside of pipes causing the inside diameter to shrink by 50% - 75% of its original size. This is where the hydro jetter comes into play. Hydro-jetting will solve this problem and keep it maintained after the pipe has been unclogged, increasing the lifetime of the pipe and ensuring that it continues to work properly.

So how does a hydro-jetter work?
A hydro jetter has several options for use. The most common use for this piece of equipment is clearing sewer lines and keeping them maintained. It has a larger pump, multiple lengths and size hoses with a tank that holds up to 350 gallons of water. The accessories that go with it to make it so useful are called jetter heads. With the right equipment and knowledge combined it will produce enough pressure to cut through a 2 x 4 (4000 PSI) yet gentle enough not to harm the drain pipe. Using 18 -20 gallons of water per minute it flushes away the toughest clogs.
The professional plumbers at Quality Rooter & Plumbing, Inc. are well trained in all aspects of hydro jetting and are always courteous when performing their job in your home or place of business.
